Pharmaceutical aggregation
Pharmaceutical aggregation for markets in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Brazil, the USA, and Turkey. This ensures product traceability at the aggregate packaging level.
It links serialized unit cartons of medicinal products packed into cases with higher-level aggregate packaging.
Pharmaceutical product aggregation is the logical next step following serialization
Both processes are designed to enhance the control and safety of medicinal products. Companies that have already implemented serialization solutions can now consider the next stage: aggregation.
Aggregation links serialized unit cartons packed into shipping cases with higher-level aggregate packaging, and subsequently with the pallet level, by assigning a unique serial number to each. This enables the tracking of the aggregate packaging’s contents throughout the entire supply chain. Such a solution allows for the identification of the entire contents of an aggregate package with a single code scan.
How does aggregation work?
Aggregation enables companies to seamlessly track their products throughout the entire supply chain. This principle is often referred to in literature as the “parent-child” relationship. When we place a unit (child) into a secondary package, its unique code is scanned. Several secondary packages are then packed into a bundle (parent). These packages are linked to the parent unit, and these aggregated bundles are then linked to the shipping case. The logic of this process resembles blockchain, as it is designed to increase transparency and traceability.
Benefits of aggregation
The benefits of implementing pharmaceutical aggregation include:
- Data Analysis: We can collect and analyze a large number of product parameters.
- Operational Efficiency: We save time and streamline operational processes.
- Recall Management: We facilitate the process of withdrawing products from the market.
- Process Optimization: We eliminate the need to open every batch or shipping case for inspection.
- Distribution Excellence: We increase the overall efficiency of the distribution process.
